General Information

A traditional wine making European country and member of the International Vine and Wine Office since 1927, subsequently the International Organization of Vine and Wine, Romania organizes for the second time after the OIV Congress which it hosted in 1968, the XXXVIth World Congress of Vine and Wine and the Extraordinary General Meeting of the International Organization of Vine and Wine between 2 and 7 June 2013 in Bucharest, at the Parliament Palace.

The Congress theme entitled “Vine and Wine between Tradition and Modernity” will be a comprehensive framework of wider debates on areas of interest for the sectors involved in the current viticulture and oenology, focusing on the preservation of the traditions of different worldwide regions.

An elite meeting of the scientific world of wine and vine, the World Congress of Vine and Wine brings together experts and scientists from around the world who will have the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences, making the most of the approaches to global competition in the wine market, or those involving the context of sustainability, biodiversity, technology and innovation.
Congress works will focus on the specific areas of Viticulture, Oenology, Economy and Law, as well as on Health and Safety and will gather participants from 44 countries.

Accreditation Conditions

The journalist accreditation application shall be made by the mass-media management body for which the journalist works or by this latter.

The accreditation application is made by filling in and submitting a specific form provided in this section for this purpose.
For the accreditation to be accepted, after having filled in and having submitted the form, you must send a photo to the address press@oiv2013.ro with the name of the person who wants to be accredited, mentioning “mass-media” in the subject of the e-mail. Accreditation form will be sent also by e-mail press@oiv2013.ro.

The organization committee of the World Congress of Vine and Wine June 2013 Bucharest Romania reserves the right not to accept the accreditation applications if it discovers that not all the required conditions have been met.
The organization committee of the World Congress of Vine and Wine June 2013 Bucharest Romania reserves the right to establish a maximum number of accreditations to be issued by a mass-media organization, which is two accreditations from the same media organization.

Accreditations will be made personally and are not transferrable.
Mass-media representatives who do not have a valid professional license will send a letter from the Chief Editor. The document will be presented in original, will be issued by the body of media that you are a journalist and would be sent to the e-mail press@oiv2013.ro.
